You’re soaking up the sun in a local park, with a can of your poison and good company; when you’re
approached by a young man selling cheap illegal tobacco. Usually you shrug off these types, but
something about him tells you there’s a story to be told. This is that story.
Leeds band Restless Youth are excited to announce the release of their new single – The Tobacconist,
which will be available worldwide on the 18th of June. The song tells the tale of their run-ins with a local
‘baccy man’. Using their signature fusion of jazz, hip-hop and folk, the band get your feet moving and
head thinking; with understated spoken word, groovy rhythms and infectious melodies. You have never
heard anything quite like it.
